In “Take a Moment”, my goal was to capture the feeling many golfers have while on the course – the ball, the goal, and all of the thoughts fade away as you take a moment to realize just how beautiful golf can be.
This painting was imagined based on a Pete Dye-style golf course design. At the forefront of the painting, a winding water feature steals the spotlight. The water meanders gracefully, its surface reflecting the hues of the surrounding landscape. Rising from the water’s edge, a meticulously crafted golf hole comes into view. Its design echoes Dye’s characteristic style: daring bunkers sculpted with rugged edges and steep faces. The intricate contours of the bunkers create a sense of depth and realism that draws you into the scene. The moss-draped branches lend an ethereal quality to the painting, inviting the viewer to step into a world where time seems to slow down and the pressures of everyday life fade away.
