Fall in Rochester-Barn

While plein air painting in Rochester, NY, I was driving down a country road and passed this barn. I was able to safely pull over to the side of the road and capture some great photos. I couldn’t set up and paint because I was losing the light and a storm was rolling in. But that is also what caught my eye. I liked the quickly rolling and churning gray clouds over this fall scene. The corn was ready to harvest and the colors were starting to change. The grayness felt like a blanket over the whole scene.
